Counseling Program Conditions
Preference for the counseling program partnership shall go to K-12 educational institutions in the state of South Dakota. The recipients will be selected by the Better South Dakota board in cooperation with the principal and superintendent of the chosen institution.

Better South Dakota's "donation match" is a one time donation in addition to the funds accumulated from the Counseling for Kids Fundraiser conducted for the given year.
The total funds provided shall be used by the chosen institution to better the state of the institution's counseling services, in whatever way they deem necessary.
Scholarship Award Conditions
Better South Dakota provides two scholarships. Preference for allotted Emmanuel Christopher Memorial Scholarships shall be given to one student currently enrolled at an academic university in South Dakota who is on the institution's football program, and one student currently enrolled at an academic university in South Dakota who is a part of the business program. These students should embody the gritty, hardworking spirit of Manny Christopher. The recipients will be selected by the institution in cooperation with the Director of Financial Aid, Head Football Coach, the Chair of the Business Department and the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
The awards shall be in addition to other scholarships. Awards are not recurring and will be given in December of the current year to be used for the following spring semester.
