Program Details

Alongside Better South Dakota's goal of increasing early intervention when it comes to mental health and suicide awareness at a youth level, we also aim to empower students at the collegiate level with inspiration and motivation. That is why Better SD is proud to provide scholarship awards to two individual university students each year to be used towards their tuition.

Though it is provided through the Better South Dakota organization, the award is specifically known as the "Emmanuel Christopher Memorial Scholarship," and is currently awarded to students enrolled at Dakota Wesleyan University, of which he was an alumnus.

With your help, we hope to continue to increase the award amounts

and add more universities to our scholarship program on a yearly basis.

Winners of the scholarship are also invited to our Counseling for Kids Fundraiser, where they will be recognized with a plaque and Better South Dakota merchandise.
